CHAMP
I am
very pleased to announce Qiulu Pan as our newly
appointed CHAMP Associate Moderator. He started in October
2008. Qiulu is regularly on service Thursday and Friday and
functions just as I do. We cover each other when the other
moderator is absent.
CHAMP
has been and will be a collegial forum for all of us. We
hope that it continues to be an excellent resource for CHAMP
members.
We, (Qiulu
and I), are always striving to achieve the best service for
all CHAMP members. Sometimes, we do not approve but forward
e-mails for a variety of reasons (such as a simple thank-you
e-mail, a simple assay availability e-mail, etc.). There
are now around 1600 CHAMP members with diverse interests.
Consuming 1 second of 1600 people is roughly equivalent to
consuming 25 minutes of 1 individual. We would appreciate
your understanding and continuing support.
One
thing I would like to emphasize is to put an EXPLICIT,
SPECIFIC TITLE for your e-mails. If you are posting a job
ad for example, please put Job Ad: Molecular Pathologist,
etc. CHAMPers are busy professionals with diverse
interests. Thus, it would be extremely helpful if the main
theme of your posting can be identified at the Subject
line. It is also important for someone to search for your
important posting by the Subject line. Please excuse us for
putting an explicit title if the title of your posting is
vague. Please feel free to change to a more specific title
if the subject matter has changed in a thread.
We
would like to remind CHAMPers of the CHAMP rules. All CHAMP
rules are listed at the AMP homepage (http://www.amp.org/Membership/champ.htm).
In addition, please feel free to e-mail me, Qiulu
Pan (qpan@montefiore.org)
or Mary Williams (mwilliams@amp.org)
if you have any question.
Please
continue enjoying CHAMP! |
