The International Affairs Committee was established in 2010 as a Working Group and became an ad hoc committee in 2015 and a standing committee in 2019. The Committee endeavors to advance molecular pathology around the globe through educational and professional activities.
Although the majority of AMP members reside in the U.S., the AMP founding members desired to create a global organization. Today, AMP International Affairs Committee members and International Affiliates can be found in more than 50 countries and all continents except Antarctica. The Committee endeavors to advance molecular pathology and expand AMP membership outside of North America.

AMP members who are on organizing committees of conferences outside of North America are invited to apply for AMP co-sponsorship and support for speaker travel. To be considered for AMP co-sponsorship and support, complete and return the Application for Co-sponsorship form.
On April 3-5, 2017, AMP held its inaugual Global Congress on Molecular Pathology. More than 500 attendees from all over the world gathered in Berlin, Germany, to learn about the latest developments in diagnostic technologies and their clinical applications. Attendees reported very positive feedback about the meeting, and many are already looking forward to the next Global Congress, which will be held in May 2019 in Hong Kong.
AMP invites non-U.S. pathology and scientific organizations to affiliate with AMP as International Affiliates.
An AMP International Affiliate is a new or pre-existing organization based outside of the United States whose primary focus is molecular pathology and that wishes to establish a formal relationship with the Association for Molecular Pathology.
Refer to the International Affiliate Agreement and complete the Application for Affiliation to become an official AMP affiliate.
