This is your chance to educate readers of CAP Today (circulation 50k), highlight your expertise, and provide service to AMP! Submit your report by February 14!
We are seeking volunteers from each AMP Subdivision to draft case reports for potential publication in CAP Today. These case reports are intended to help pathologists understand the power and appropriate use of molecular tests. The teaching strategy will be to take them from what they do know, e.g., special stains, to new knowledge in the molecular pathology field. Case reports will be reviewed by the AMP Publications and Communications Committee and select reports will be chosen for submission to CAP Today.
General information and guidelines for the reports include:
A clinical case (no patient identifiers) that illustrates the important role of molecular testing to achieve an appropriate diagnosis, prognosis, role in treatment selection, etc. The case should emphasize the role of molecular diagnostics in patient care rather than the technical aspects of the test.
Narrative format, images, tables and diagrams can be used and are encouraged – color, if available. Please plan to submit your file as a high resolution PDF with images and fonts included. If accepted for submission to CAP Today, AMP may contact you to send a word file and image files separately.
Case report submissions are due no later than February 14, 2017. The AMP Publications and Communications Committee will review the submissions and reply by the end of April 2017. Thank you for your interest and support of AMP educational initiatives.
